Mirka Walter

Mirka Walter

Mirka Walter is an emerging visual artist from Cologne, Germany. It was here where Mirka got first in touch with surrealism, as Max Ernst was born in Brühl, a small city close to Cologne. But what especially has been influencing Mirka’s work and worldview is the feminist surrealism by artists such as Leonora Carrington. What Mirka wants to capture is the beauty, banality and brutality of the everyday, the human body in motion as well as a surreal and fantastic representation of the natural world. The artist’s favorite materials are watercolor in all its expressions and ink.

Olivia Pendergast

Olivia Pendergast

Olivia attended Columbus College of Art and Design’s five-year BFA program where she majored in Illustration but took every Fine Art course that could be squeezed into her semester’s tuition. After working for five years in the LA film industry as a conceptual designer, the pull to create her own work through the means of painting was too much to resist. In 2007, Olivia moved to Seattle to pursue her creative endeavors in the Pacific Northwest. She currently resides internationally with her daughter and is a full-time artist/Mother.
