Jones Prize for Short Prose, and the poetry collection Conjoining, and is the editor of North Dakota Is Everywhere: An Anthology of Contemporary North Dakota Poets. She writes and teaches in Minneapolis, where she is an Editor for Assay: A Journal of Nonfiction Studies and for Poetry City.

Neema Avashia is a Civics teacher in the Boston Public Schools, where she has taught for the last 15 years. She writes about her experiences growing up in a very small Indian community in West Virginia, and the ways in which that experience continues to shape her identity today.
